Dear officer，
Sorry for interrupting you. My name is Lin MingJing, come from China, Passport Number is EJ4942936.
My passport has been sent to immigration and waited for 14 working days; the application status is still 90%. I really need to come back to China at late October because my grandpa was in serious sickness.
Also my classmate who sent the passport with me at the same time has already get it back successfully.
Thank you for your help. I am really appreciated that.

  Your institution opted to obtain the Student Pass directly at the state Immigration Department. As such, your passport was not submitted to EMGS. We advise that you liaise with your institution directly for further assistance on the status of your passport.

    Thank you, but my institution which is my university said that they only respond to submit the passport to immigration, and I don’t know how to get in touch with the state Immigration. Could you please help me with it…I will be really grateful.

      In the event, if you unable to contact the Immigration Department you may liaise with your Institution for further assistance on your passport status.
