What is EVAL extension and why it is needed?
I have to defer my previous Sep/Oct semester for late EVAL approval and now EVAL is in my hand. My next semester will start in March and my EVAL validity will expire in April 27th, 2023.

I defer my running semester for the late EVAL process. Still at 35% since 3rd October. I think if you defer to next semester you should have a lot of time to apply. However, did you call EMGS and ask why theres a delay? Is it with immigration yet or not?

Yes, Eval is valid for 6 months. In a situation where the Eval expired, then you have to apply for E Val extension through your university

Anyone going to UTM,JB for Master’s this october? My EVAL is 35% pending stage right now and The last date of online Registration is 29th october. Oh, I had been waiting for nearly a month as well! I had to cancel my old eVAL so it was taking some time. I’m from Myanmar. How about you?
Yes, I have no prerequisites; maybe it’s because I spent one year at a private university in Malaysia before transferring to a public university, and they didn’t see any problems, so yay?

Hello, I’m also enrolling into utm jb for this session,had a few issues regarding val delays, but I got my emgs approval letter, and I’ve been trying to register with that. I emailed admin and a few faculty, to advise on how to proceed, but still have not heard back yet. How did you register using the emgs approv letter?

Your university is supposed to advise on this issue. At times it’s because your VAL has expired and you have to apply for a new one. So the institution does it for you. If your next intake is March 2023. Communicate with your university and ask them for a way forward.
Since you already have your eVal, just apply for eVisa and flight to Malaysia to have your medical check then submit your passport for student pass endorsement. You can stay there provided that you have your student pass.
