Dear EMGS officer,

I am International student in Malaysia. PhD student at university of Malaya.

Currently I am in my home country, My eVAL expires on 23 October 2021. I didn’t enter yet to Malaysia.

Due to Covid-19, I don’t think I will travel to Malaysia in these days.

So, is it possible to renew another eVAL in case of expiration?

  Hi,
  
  Please note that if your VAL expires and you were unable to enter Malaysia, your institution can apply for a VAL extension application. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Hi EMGS Officier,

I am from Algeria, My eVAL will expire on 23 october 2021.
I will travel next month to Malaysia, sould I stay in the hotel quarantine if i’ve got vaccined or not?

Home quarantine is sufficient?

  We are yet to receive an update for students who are vaccinated. At present, the current procedures remain the same. Rest assured, we will notify students if there are any changes to the entry procedures.
