Dear All,
I am a PhD student in Malaysia, currently in Pakistan.
I have changed passport after marriage here and my student pass is expiring on 2nd October. My question is i have applied for renewal of visa but even after getting my pass renewed, do I need to apply for SEV stamp on new passport?

  Hi,
  
  If your Student Pass expires whilst you are in Pakistan, you will be required to apply for the SEV prior to your travel to Malaysia. Your Student Pass will only be renewed upon your arrival in Malaysia.
