Hi EMGS, do you accept individual submission for cancellation student pass since my uni not reopening anytime soon for hence I cant submit my documents for cancellation. If yes please advise me the step. Thank you!

Hi Julia,

The Student Pass cancellation request can only be made by your respective institution. We advise that you liaise with your institution and seek for assistance or an alternative to submitting the documents to your institution.

Just wanted to share my timeline of student pass renewal until its issued by immigration. Took exactly 1 month to renew since passport submission. This time it took slightly longer than previous time that sometimes approved in 2 weeks.

I guess its a requirement for u to cancel out your existing visa prior to your leaving. Hence you may face difficulty applying for any other visas in Malaysia in the future because your previous visa still active in the system. Does not matter. U have to and required to submit premedical report before u get eval. No such thing as u cant afford it or its so expensive.

Quickly ask uni to submit ammendment to emgs. If its not yet in immigration i think the ammendment process still can be done efficiently.

They dont work on weekends. If urs updated on weekends means the system had just updated it on weekend and maybe it was approved on weekdays but the system takes time to updated.

Hello working days is from Monday to friday. But if any public holidays falls between that then it consider holiday so they dont work at that day. Like Friday last week was PH and Chinese new year Tuesday and Wednesday this week is holiday.

Oh my god relax dude. There are few days of public holidays. The approval takes 7 to 10 working days. Also every applications is processed differently u cannot expect to be the same progress although other people submitted earlier or latest than u. Just chill.

Nope. Not allowed to study under visa work as well as working under student pass. U have to apply student pass.

Emgs will accept submission at least 3 months before intake. If u say intake is May then maybe middle February or end of February will only they accept your documents and process it. They wont entertain submission more than 3 months than intake date.
