I have overstayed my visa and now the immigration determined an appointment for an interview to issue me a special pass. Is such an interview a common and normal thing? And how long does it take to issue the special pass after the interview?

I think for special pass around a month..

I have overstayed my student pass by almost two months now because of the internal long processing time of the university for my documents. Now the university have submitted my passport to immigration for a special pass and university told me it takes two months to get the special pass.. is that true? Can anyone advise on this situation? Thanks!

This is the most tiring process i have heard of! Two months for a special pass? Ridiculous!

Special Pass doesn’t take 2 months. 2-4 days maximum. Think about it: Why would Immigration keep you waiting for a special pass for the same amount of time it would take to give you a new student pass?

  I didnt only think about it.. i am experiencing it.. and it’s literally one month now.. so don’t tell me it only takes 2-4 days!

    Bro, I’m not arguing about how long you’ve been waiting for your uni to finish their internal processing like what you said in your first post (It’s happened to all of us) I’m just saying Immigration doesn’t take 2 MONTHS just to process a special pass. Your uni is the one who told you 2 months- did you check with Immigration?
