Dear EMGS,
I am PhD student at University Malaya.
I just came to know that to get the dependent pass, we need to submit bank statement to RM 10,000 per dependent.
Means in case of two dependents, we should have 30,000 RM in Malaysian bank account… is it true?

Dear Emgs,
Although the F2F classes have been banned and universities moved on to online classes but what about PhD students who have to perform their research work in the labs?
Kindly allow them atleast … We can even provide any letter of needed from University or supervisor… 1 year with no output has already passed … Too much loss of time…[Read more]-

May I ask from where did u confirmed about traveling? I was curious whether the entry permit has any expiry or not?

Yeah i dont know why the embassy is saying that when emgs and malaysia immigration has made it clear that existing students can travel. I traveled via Qatar Airways. At check in (pakistan), the people there even contacted malaysian immigration to confirm whether i should be allowed through, and they were given the green light.

That’s surprising.
My flight was also on 22 but extended bcz embassy said we can’t travel.
But it’s good that u take a risk n travelled.
Is Qatar airways also ask for COVID PCR test.-

Students from the banned 23 countries will be able to travel to Malaysia. The travel authorization letter has no validity. However, the decision to issue to an entry permit is solely at the discretion of the Malaysian Mission.

I am also existing international student of masters and ma flight was booked for 22nd September but due to ban they EMGS rejected. No updates till then for new application n how to re-apply 😒
