Dear EMGS Officer.
My dependent (X1470891) is applying for new dependent pass and currently in progress with immigration waiting for endorsement (85%). She entered Malaysia on 2nd May and the Visit Pass will be expired on 31st May. Do i need to apply for Special Pass in case the Dependent Visa application haven’t done before 31st May?

Kindly be advised that your dependent is not required to obtain a special pass when the current pass is expired as the passport is in progress with the immigration department. Allow them some time to issue the sticker. Any updates will be notified accordingly.

Okay, Officer. But if the visa issued after 31st May, is there any fines need to be paid regarding the overstay?

Please be informed that we received the passport from the institution on 10 May 2024. The endorsement process will take approximately 14 working days from the date of the passport submission to EMGS. Allow us some time to proceed with the endorsement. Rest assured, any updates will be notified accordingly.
