    Dear EMGS,
Does the travel authorization have validity period i.e. If I got the authorization to travel based on certain ticket date, would it be possible to travel if the flight happened to be canceled, delayed, or changed to other carrier. I am asking because nowadays flight dates changes are very likely to happen due to Covid19 situations. Hope…

      Hi Haider,

The travel authorization approval letter does not have a validity period. However, the Letter of Approval (Entry Permit) obtained from the Malaysian Mission has a 30 days validity period.

      Have a nice day.

    Dear EMGS,
I am a PhD student in UKM and I plan to book my flight in the last week of October or midst of November. However, am I still allowed to apply for travel authorization if my visa expires?

    Best Regards,
    Haider

      Hi Haider,

You can still apply for a travel authorization. However, if you are from a visa required country, you will be required to apply for the single entry visa (SEV) upon receipt of the authorization. The SEV and the Letter of Approval (Entry Permit) are applied from the Malaysian Mission in your home country.

      Have a nice day.
