Dear officer , good noon. My name is Li Shao, my passport number EJ1519166. My visa renewal application has been stuck in 55 (in process with EMGS). My university just told me that my visa should be renewed for 6 months instead of 3 months because my viva score is a major correction. Can EMGS help me extend the correct period by 6 months? I can immediately provide a new renewal application form and pay the necessary fees.

  Based on our record, your institution applied for renewal of 3 months only. We also received your passport for the student pass endorsement. As such, kindly liaise with your institution for further clarification on this matter.

    I have already contacted my university and the university has clearly stated that I should renew my visa for 6 months. Could you please help me check whether I can change it to a 6-month visa now?

      Hi Li Shao,
      
      Kindly request your institution to submit the amendment request if they intend to amend the extension sought from 3 months to 6 months. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the EMGS officers and immigration officers.
