Your institution submitted the VAL cancellation request on the 14th of September. The VAL cancellation is currently in progress with the Immigration Department. We will resume the processing of your application once the previous VAL has been cancelled.

It took for me to cancel my previous after uni 3 days! But I think you have to ask them speed up your process..
Honestly it took like 8 months for my brother to cancel. I don’t know why cancellation is harder than approval. And nobody follows up.

There is no specific time-frame required to complete VAL cancellation applications. The approval to cancel the VAL is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. We will notify your institution once the VAL has been cancelled.
