Dear EMGS officers,
I would like to enquire something regarding student pass renewal next year. Currently I have already collected my passport with issued visa. I noticed that some others have been given 3 years for their PhD studies because they chose the option of 3 years in the previous VAL application process.

  Hi Gao,
  
  The Student Pass for the entire course duration can only be applied for during the initial VAL application, upon meeting the set requirements. This option is not applicable to renewal applications. As such, you are not eligible to apply for a visa more than 1 year when renewing your Student Pass.
