The IELTS doesn’t affect your VAL application (Your VAL is already approved and they’ll send it t you once they collect it from EMGS). It’s required for your University. So go and do the IELTS like the Uni asked. Submit to IIUM as soon as you get the results.

See the below reply from Bro Umar . EMGS doesn’t care about IELTS. Reason why IIUm doesn’t rush about the IELTS is because even if we fail in the IELTS, they will conduct English training and do internal test for one semester.

Hi , am trying for Iium which requires ielts as well but the thing is ielts is required for college on the admission date but not for EMGS . So do not worry about ielts for EMGS as there is no connection

Are you sure abput this , because the university people asked me to submit the results as soon possible. But my val is already approved and my emgs status is 60% , so what should i be doing next ?

Your language is fine and you can get 6 easily.
Dont warry its not that hard.
I was so afraid of not meeting requirement score and I actually got 6.5
