For the Dependent Pass application, the supporting documents, including your marriage certificate and your children’s birth certificates, must be attested by the relevant Embassy in Malaysia. Please ensure that the Embassy’s stamp date is not more than 3 months old at the time of submission.
Additionally, if any of the documents are not in English or Bahasa Malaysia, they must be accompanied by a full English translation. The translation can be done by your embassy or the Institute Terjemahan & Buku Malaysia (ITBM). If the translation is carried out by a translation company, the translated document must include a confirmation of accuracy, the date of translation, and the translator’s full name, signature, and contact details, along with Embassy attestation of the translated document.
Also, I have a breastfeeding baby and cannot travel without her. I understand that I need to obtain my student pass before I can apply for a dependent pass for my family.
Could you please advise on the best option in this situation? Would it be possible for my family to enter Malaysia on a tourist visa and then convert it to a dependent pass once I receive my student pass? If not, what alternatives are available?
