You have to download the e-val from emgs website. You might get it within 1 to 4 days. Then you have to apply for single entry visa in Malaysian embassy at your home country.

Immigration wants 18 months validity….I have submitted my passport with 16 months validity still immigration didnt accept my passport and told me to renew the passport

My institution UKM submitted the renewed passport copy to emgs today. Emgs submitted the copy to immigration today. I got a notification few minutes ago that immigration rejected my VAL. What is the reason? I have submitted all required documents

My institution told me to sent the pages of my passport with minimum 13 months validity. My passport has 14 months validity. Now immigration wants 18 months validity. Does not IMMIGRATION issue the VAL for less than 18 months validity of passport? I have applied for masters and my registration is on 7th February.

Emgs hold my application because I have to extend the validity of my passport. After extending the validity of passport, how many days it will take to get the VAL? My offer letter pre arrival medical was issued in the previous passport number. Its very urgent to know my registration is on 7th February

You will be able to download the VAL within 1 to 3 days. After downloading you should apply for single entry visa to the Malaysian embassy in your home country.

EMGS imposed a new fee for 2018. My institution was not aware about the matter. So I paid less than the required amount according to my institution’s instruction. After that my institution informed me to pay an additional fee. I paid the fee and emgs regenerated my documents then.

No international students are not allowed to work. They can only work at their semester break not more than 20 hours per week.

Is it possible to get the VAL next week? My registration is in 7th Feb. I need time to apply for SEV after getting the VAL.
