@FarazAmin, everyone who goes through EMGS has to be a foreigner because they only deal with international students. So what ever they say is mostly directed to us.

There hasnt been any official announcement for students that the charges have changed so according to the EMGS website it is still RM 2100.

You have to book a ticket before starting the process otherwise the form wont proceed. U need to attach your ticket along with the form

I am a existing student and as i have to travel back to malaysia i contact last days to my university they told me very clearly that the fees is been changed by the authorities into 4700 so now the fees is 4700 not 2100!

Please be informed that we are in the midst of processing your application. However, the approval to issue you with a travel authorization is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department.

Im an existing student too. I have my flight on the 8th and I havent received my travel authorization yet.

I have sent emails to emgs to update me with my application process and I havent received a response yet.

What about existing international students who already have a valid student pass? Will they be granted entry on travel authorization?

  because it said 100% when i put my passport and country
  cuz i already got renewed when i was in malaysia back february 2020

Lol yes! But I dont think this will be the case for students. As the news you shared is for the general public. Students have had their announcement separately on the 24th.
