I got TA and visa renewal approval from egms in around 20 days. Once I arrive to Penang, the sticker will take around three days by USM.

But I have applied for Eval extension for 40 days. I am still in Bangladesh, I’m also a new student and God knows how long it will take to complete.😭

So you are talking about the Eval not the visa. I have no idea. Two years ago the process took 21 days in total. These days things are getting done on a rather sluggish pace due to the pandemic.

My university applied for an EVAL extension on 5th October, my application status is still 80%, I have done my registration in the right period and also student portal shows that I’m a registered student at UPM. it why they sent me this mail? It will be 80% unless you visit Malaysia. Visit the website through using computer/laptop. Most importantly eVAL extension can’t be checked through emgs website. Only institute can get the updates. Please contact your institution visa officer for the update

Hi,
Please note that we have submitted your VAL extension application to Immigration Department on 15th of October 2021. Kindly note that there is no stipulated timeframe for VAL extension processing. The approval is solely at the discretion of Immigration Department.

The application is currently in progress with the Immigration Department. The approval to extend the VAL is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. We will notify your institution about the updates of your application status.

I feel they are showing partiality between new and old application, they should have processed old application first

It takes up to 4 weeks in Immigration apparently (Mine has been in immigration for two weeks)

Mine has been 1.5 in immigration process and still no update 😂

Yes I did but they said just wait and they will info me if they get an update from immigration

Did you informed your university about your eval expire, if not inform them and they will apply for extension

Call EMGS and ask them whether your E-Val has been extended and if they say yes, ask them where you can download the extended E-val from
-
It is unlikely that your E-Val has been extended as people who has applied in September haven’t got it yet. I think your university means they have applied for extension and they are waiting for immigration to approve the extension (which unfortunately takes time)
