Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Ensar Deniz, and I am an incoming exchange student for the upcoming semester in Malaysia.

I am currently staying in Thailand. My current visa here will expire soon, and due to the limited time frame, I urgently need clarification regarding my student visa process for Malaysia.

I would kindly like to ask for confirmation on the following points:

As a German citizen currently residing in Thailand, do I need to apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV), or can I enter Malaysia directly with the eVAL?

I understand that I still need to apply for the eVAL. Could you please confirm the necessary steps and whether my current situation (being in Thailand) affects the process?

Since my visa in Thailand is about to expire, I urgently need clear guidance on how to proceed, as I am currently unsure what the correct next step is.

I would highly appreciate your prompt response.

  As a German citizen currently residing in Thailand, you will need to apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) to enter Malaysia. You can obtain the SEV from the Malaysian Embassy or apply for an eVISA through the Immigration Department’s website.
  
  Additionally, you will need to apply for the Visa Approval Letter (eVAL). Since your visa in Thailand is about to expire, it is crucial that you complete these steps as soon as possible.
  
  Once your eVAL is ready, you can download it through the EMGS Hub Mobile App or request it from your institution. Please ensure that you inform your institution of your travel details and arrival date.
