HI Guys.
I have already got my VAL And my studying start on October!
So can I travel to Malaysia in September for example ?
The question is the VAL valid or not ? Because they said it’s valid for six months ? So that’s mean I can go to Malaysia During this 6 months ? Isn’t ?

Yes Khalid you can go during the 6 months. No need to go to the malaysian embassy in other country since there is no embassy in our country. You can book your flight in any time. Good luck

I just want to know how to apply for SEV ?
And before I go to Malaysia or after I travel?
Someone explain to me the full procedures about this because I’m really confused.

After u receive ur VAL u can go to the Malaysian embassy in ur country they will stamp ur passport with the SEV

      Actually I just got my VAL from my university, and they wrote is no need to go to the nearest embassy so that I can go directly to Malaysia with VAL only!

        Yes u can travel to Malaysia but at the kl airport show them the VAL and ur offer letter they will give u visa on arrival for students

SEV is “Single Entry Visa”. Basically, after your VAL is issued you can come to Malaysia…BUT if you are from a country that needs Visa to come to Malaysia, then you need to take your VAL to Malaysian Embassy and apply for SEV.

    I’ll recommend that you check with EMGS for the official answer but from what I know there are 2 scenarios.
    1. Either you go to a Malaysian Embassy in a nearby country; or
    
    2. You come to Malaysia with VAL only (there is exception for some countries).
    
    Please email EMGS and confirm which one is true for Iraq.
