Depends on the embassy/ country , most of them accept a printed copy .. but some ask for te original

You mean to get sev? It depends on what country your in and if it’s ready or not .. usually it’s done within 3 days

Once you enter Malaysia with sev youll have to finish the medical screening and submit your passport for the multiple entry visa

You only reach 100% once you reach malaysia, do the post arrival check up and submit your passport to immigration for the student visa sticker

Unfortunately no,
I am also at 15% and classes are starting on the 28th of August,

I tried to make them hurry but we just have to wait

7 days, last Thursday it turned yellow and today it turned back to green as I submitted the documents .. but still 15% 🙁

When is your classes starting ?

For iium you can submit your documents yourself, why are you doing it through them ? Just contact emgs yourself with the documents

Contact your uni and make sure they are aware of the possible delay, ask them if you can register for any subjects or anything you can do while your waiting

Normally your uni because emgs would send it to you uni as soon as it’s issued

You would have to update the visa, so you have to submit both passport to the immigration to update .. I think you have to do it within few months from the new passport issuance ..
