Hello, I’m currently a student in Malaysia and I want to ask about if i can change my program within the same university. Do i have to cancel my visa and leave the country to apply for a the new visa or, I can be in Malaysia to apply for the new one.

  Kindly be informed that if you decided to change the programme within the same university, the institution is required to apply for a variation application. For variation application, student are allowed to stay in Malaysia while processing the application. Kindly note, the requirement for variation is student is required to complete at least 1 semester and the application must be made within 1st year of study. As such, you may refer to the institution for further clarification regarding this matter.

    I already finished my 2nd year & internship but I want to change thr program for my third year. Do i have to cancel my old visa ?
