Dear EMGS,
My visa renewal application number is: #########. I submitted my passport to the university on 24/11/2025. My student visa expired on 5/12/2025 but the completion rate on EMGS is still at 90%. When I asked, my university said that the application is not completed. I would like to know when it will be completed. Will the late completion affect me?

  Kindly be informed that your institution opted to obtain the Student Pass directly at the state Immigration Department. As such, your passport was not submitted to EMGS. We advise that you liaise with your institution directly for further assistance on the status of your passport.

    Thank you sir/madam. The completion rate is currently 90%. Will it increase when the Immigration Department confirms completion, or when the university confirms it? I mean, who influences the system to increase this rate? The university? The Immigration Department? Or the Department of Education? Can you tell me? I just want to know more about the process. When I asked the person in charge at the university when my visa application would be complete, they only said it was “in progress” without giving me a specific completion date. Thank you for your help.
