Good morning EMGS officers and friends here,

I have got my VAL and plan to go to the consulate here on November 28 , but I will only enter Malaysia by November 5. Is that okay?
When is the latest (or how many days) I have to enter malaysia after visiting consulate?

  Do you mean you want to get the SEV from the consulate then leave later on to Malaysia? The SEV has a validity life which may differ from one country to another. It is a maximum of three months. Check with your consulate about that. The VAL also has a validity period indicated at the VAL letter.

  Congratualtions on the approval of your VAL application. Your dates do not tally. Based on your post you are planning to enter Malaysia before going to the consulate. Kindly note that the SEV is valid for 3 months. However, we advise that you liaise with your institution directly in order to check on the exact date you are required to arrive in Malaysia.
