Dear EMGS Officer,
I am a Japanese national applying for the SEV. Before arriving in Malaysia, I plan to visit Taiwan for tourism and will enter Malaysia from Taiwan instead of directly from Japan. Is this acceptable for the SEV application, or must the flight be from Japan? View

Hi,
Kindly be informed that you are required to travel to Malaysia from home country. As such, the approval to Enter Malaysia from Taiwan is solely at the discretion of Immigration at the airport.
