Dear EMGS Officer.
I am having super confusion and I am stuck in the middle of taking an important decision. Let me explain the scenario.

I am foreigner. I have completed my Bachelor Degree here in Kuala Lumpur and I have started my MBA in Kuala Lumpur, I am done with my all assignments and now I just have Final Year Project (dissertation) to submit.

A MNC already offered me a job and they want to proceed with Employment Pass. As required, I have to cancel my current student pass then only company can proceed with the employment pass.

So the biggest problem and confusion now is, let’s assume i left Malaysia and Cancelled my student visa for processing the Employment Pass. Then while waiting in ny home country, work permit will be issued and I will back in Malaysia to work for that company.

But as I mentioned I am 95% done with my MBA course, just left Dissertation to submit, I don’t even have to attend in any classes anymore, just need to meet my dissertation supervisor for 10 times within 3 months of time to show my project progress.

So the question is, can I complete my dissertation and complete my MBA while I am having Employment Pass???

Important points : *my MBA course 95% completed and I supposed to complete 100% by first week of January 2020 and the company wants to process now and wants me to join in November 2019. So can I cancel my student visa now and get employment pass then complete my last two months of MBA with employment pass?

  Hi Atiq,
  
  International students enrolled to study in Malaysia are required to be holding the Student Pass. We advise that you liaise with your respective institution for further assistance on this.

    Good Morning.
    I have spoken to my institute. Few weeks ago I spoke to them and they told me yeah I can study while working because its masters course and then I talked yesterday then they said, according to new rules, I can’t study while have employment pass.
    
    Is there anyway to consider this? Because the difference is just two months. So I just need permission to compete the course duration. Is there any special consideration? Because it not that I need to complete my whole studies because i have already completed 95% of my course duration.

      @atiq_4 You need to obtain approval from your institution, and to also check with the Immigration Department on this matter.
