Your student visa application will remain at 50% until you are in Malaysia and submit your passport to your university.
But you have to wait for your TA to be able to travel.
Check your TA status on EMGS website not app. (Choose travel authorization)

what you need is travel authorization to come to Malaysia and submit your passport and please keep in mind that renewal document submission can be done online however visa endorsement cannot be done online and you need to be in Malaysia to complete the renewal and get the new visa stamp.

Remewal is not an issue. I calculate that you expect travel authorisation within ten days from now. Hopefully before. Call emgs by phone to see if they can expedite the travel authorisation application.

If all your documents are submitted by the university, the process takes approximately 14 days as of the last emgs update. I guess it is travel authorisation you are applying for, right?

Check if your university has sent emgs a proof of payment. In my case, I sent the payment receipt to the university. The university forwarded them to emgs with me on CC.

Your application is at 0% which means emgs has not yet received proof of payment for the visa renewal. If you have the payment receipts then immediately send them to your university and ask to submit them to emgs.

Asim. If the application hasn’t kicked off yet for a whole month, why don’t you phone emgs to get a quick response?

I had once an issue, called emgs by phone and got a fast answer.
Tip: To get expedient answers from emgs, we, students, use to send them an email indicating our passport number. Please update us on what happens, and good luck.
