-
Once you get your sev and ready to travel I can help you with temporary accommodation in the school

Hi Humble prince, how’s the process for SEV in Abuja? Like the duration in which you got a response. Also, did USM representative meet you at the airport as indicated on the arrival document attached to the eval, IPS registration, accommodation information particularly international student housing, student pass and medicals
-
Sev in Abuja is like 10 days…you don’t need USM representative to meet you at the airport
-
Thank you very much @HumblePrince. How long did it take for NDLEA to give you your clearance? How did you find the SEV experience? Please do share any pertinent information that might provide better insight. Many thanks
-
I didn’t apply for NDLEA clearance. What degree are you coming for because that will determine whether you need NDLEA clearance or not. The SEV experience is fine, no , just make sure you have all your documents
-
I was offered admission to a MSc program. However, the VFS website says NDLEA was required hence my confusion

I am going on 20th August to USM. You can ask me any questions you want.
-
What arrangements do you have for accommodation? I have tried checking the school’s website but the info on university hostel is scanty and almost non existent
-
University hostel is already full. I already asked them about that. They recommended me Angerik Lodging/hotel. However, I found one accommodation which was within my budget. Here is a website where you can find a suitable accomodation : https://www.mudah.my/Penang/Rooms-for-rent-2100?lst=0&fs=1&w=103&cg=2100&sa=78&so=1&st=u

There is one hostel that the representative of USM shared with me. Also there are some websites where you can contact the owners for the accommodations. You can give me your email id or WhatsApp no so I can…[Read more]

I have a third notification for post-arrival medical and stamped passport after receiving eval. I saw in your earlier post that if we dont provide documents within 90 days then our application will not be shown in system. My question is, I will be arriving in mid August and its approximately 90 days from the time I got my 3rd notification. So Will…[Read more]

-
Phd. Where r u from in india?
-
yor sev completed

I stay in Mumbai. I haven’t completed SEV since I still have more than 3 months since my semester starts. However, SEV is quite easy. you simply need to goto https://windowmalaysia.my and apply for it or if you prefer offline then try out VFS. They have mentioned what documents you will be needed there.
-
You know its charges?
-
If you are going to apply offline then it will cost you around 6.5K INR. If you apply online then approximate cost is 4K . (However you need to check out FAQ section if your VAL is eligible for online processing)

In how many days you got it?
-
Less than a month for the whole process.
-
I saw your post. Initially, it takes time for the percentage to go up since your institute has to send the details to the EMGS for verification purposes. I would suggest you to keep in touch with your institute and send the EMGS mails if since sometimes they may have received your documents but not have updated the system.
-
They got it… now just waiting to see a change to know if the process is progressing.. Thankss.. Hopefully I can get it in 2-3 weeks 😕 atleast…
-
Once EMGS has all your documents, it shouldn’t take more than one week. (Just mail them to confirm if they already have all the documents). And immigration takes around a week in most cases. So, all in all, you should get it in 2 weeks provided every document you sent to them is in order.
-
Ohhh… Thank you so muchh… Hopefully 😊

Hi Dhaval,
If the visa expires whilst you are outside of Malaysia, you are required to enter Malaysia on a Social Visa. If you intend to renew the Student Pass, you will need to return to Malaysia within 3 months from your Student Pass expiry date. Kindly refer to the Malaysian Embassy in your home country for further details on the Social Visa…[Read more]
Thank you for the prompt reply, just the follow up question, since I am not looking for extending my visa, what happens to our personal bond ? Can we reclaim it while going on the social visa ?
@dhaval The personal bond fee is obtained directly from your institution. As such, we advise that you liaise with your institution for details on the procedure to obtain the personal bond fee.
