Dear EMGS Team,

I am writing regarding three notifications I received requesting the following documents:

1. Current Pass
2. Personal Bond
3. Insurance Cover Note
4. Post-VAL Medical

My details are as follows:

eVAL Reference: BVP/STU/14321/E#########/1
University: Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Main Campus Penang
Intake: Mid-September 2026

My eVAL has been issued and I understand my application has progressed to approximately 80%. However, I have not yet arrived in Malaysia and will only be travelling for the mid-September 2026 intake.

I understand that the Personal Bond and Insurance Cover Note will be arranged by my university .

However, I am unsure how to proceed with two requirements that appear to require my physical presence or entry into Malaysia:

1. Current Pass: I understand this requires the institution to submit a copy of my passport page showing the Date of Entry and a valid pass, in order to prepare the supporting letter. Since I have not yet entered Malaysia, this does not yet apply to me.

2. Post-VAL Medical Examination: I understand this is typically required to be completed within 7 days of arrival in Malaysia. Since I will only be arriving in September 2026, I am not yet able to complete this.

Could you please confirm:
– Whether these two requirements (Current Pass and Post-VAL Medical) are expected to be fulfilled only after my arrival in Malaysia, and
– Whether there is any action needed from my side at this stage, or if these notifications will simply be addressed once I arrive and complete entry formalities.

I want to ensure I am not missing any required action before my travel, and would appreciate your guidance on the correct sequence of steps.
