Hello Emgs team,
I wanted to inquire if it is important to cancel your student pass once you have graduated or if its okay to simply let it expire?
My pass expires March 2024 but I’m graduating next month and will only be in KL for about a week. Please let me know what’s usually the procedure. Thank you!

Hi Amna,

Please be informed that as per rules set by the Immigration Department of Malaysia, all international students will be required to shorten the pass and return to their home countries upon graduation or completion of their studies. With regard to the procedure, you may refer to the institution for further assistance.

Hello EMGs, I have a few questions:

1) Do I have to apply for residence or will the dorm room be decided for me when I arrive at the university?
2) Who should I contact regarding my travel/ flight details for them to come pick us up at the airport?

For pick up contact uni for residence you can go to hostelhunting.com and find yourself a room you can book it beforehand

@amna_5 Your father is required to proceed to the Malaysian Embassy in Pakistan in order to apply for a single entry visa.

Hello EMGS I have two questions regarding my father accompanying me to Malaysia to drop me off:
1) Does he have to apply for a visa? Is there a special type of visa? He will only be with me for a week.
2) Will the university arrange for his stay or will my father have to stay at a hotel near the uni?
