Hi Amal,
If the VAL expires before you enter Malaysia, you will be required to submit a new application. The approval to issue the new VAL is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. However, the current VAL needs to be canceled first. Kindly refer to your institution for more details.

@zhang123 Your institution opted to obtain the Student Pass at the state Immigration Department. As such, your passport was not submitted to EMGS. Kindly check directly with your institution for further details on the status of your passport.

If the VAL has expired you are required to apply for a new application. Kindly refer to your institution to cancel the current VAL prior to the submission of your new application.
