My status is 95% from 12/02/2022 (your student Pass has been issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia ) Passport No. NH5063518
I’m waiting to collect my Passport from my Institution but they told me it’s still holds in EMGS, waiting for there reply to collect the Passport.

Check your status through another computer. Probably it is a browser issue.

One question: if we are hotel quarantined, is there a way to purchase Malaysian sim card at the airport, once we arrive? Does it activates on the same day?

Sim cards activate the same moment you buy them.
I have just called customer service of my network Mymaxis but they said they do not sell sim cards online. That would have been a good option.
So, talk to the hotel to see if they can buy it for you. I wish I were in Kuala Lumpur. I could have got it for you there.

Here is the information as I experienced it as an old student coming to Malaysia four weeks ago. Things might be different for students on home quarantine.1. Get copies of your travel authorisation or val or whatever document you got depending on whether you are a new or old student.

Brother. If you have the Val then you already have travel authorisation with it.
Go to the tracking tool at emgs website and check the status for student visa. You will find the val and above it you will have to see the travel authorisation.

Please be informed that the eVAL can be downloaded via the EMGS application tracker: https://visa.educationmalaysia.gov.my/emgs/application/searchForm/
You are required to key-in your Passport number and select your nationality in order to retrieve your application record.
