Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for releasing the comprehensive guidelines for the re-entry into Malaysia. I have a couple of questions I need to be clarified. It would be great if I can get that cleared.

1) Please let me know what are the basic requirements that qualify the Covid-19 test taken in my home country to be valid? (For example: Does the test have to be taken in a government lab or private labs?)

2) What do I need to get approved specifically from my university prior to applying for the travel authorisation letter?

3) Where will be quarantined on arrival to Malaysia?

4) What are the costs for quarantine?

Please help me clarify this.

  Hi Akmal,
  
  1. The test can be taken at any approved medical centre in your home country. However, you need to ensure that it is a Covid-19 test.
  2. Your institution needs to give you a confirmation that they are allowing you to travel to Malaysia
  3 & 4 The quarantine centres will be arranged by your institution. As such, you are required to liaise with your institution directly for further details with regard to the costs and the location of the centres
