Yes you need to shorten your visa after finishing your program. You’ll have to submit your passport to your institution, it will take about 5 working days. Costs about rm50-100. Hope that helps @aishath

Yes you can submit your passport to the international student department while waiting for your transcripts and certificate.but normally visa shortening should be done after convocation.-
Based on my experience, I submitted my passport to the international student department a week after my convocation and I got my passport back a week later together with my transcripts and certificate. I hope that helps
