The Student Pass endorsement process takes 14 working days. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. We will notify your institution once the passport is ready for collection.

What are the charges of hostel in UM ?

For postgraduate students is at least RYM 750. I thini sharing a place with friend is more affordable.

Hostel charge is myr 15 per day.

If the visa expires whilst you are outside of Malaysia, you are required to enter Malaysia on a Social Visa. If you intend to renew the Student Pass, you will need to return to Malaysia within 3 months from your Student Pass expiry date. Thank you for the prompt reply, just the follow up question, since I am not looking for extending my visa, what happens to our personal bond ? Can we reclaim it while going on the social visa ?
@dhaval The personal bond fee is obtained directly from your institution. As such, we advise that you liaise with your institution for details on the procedure to obtain the personal bond fee.
