Your VAL will be approved on your passport name. If it does not then you can apply for correction of name in passport. Its not a long procedure.

Just make an official document from your government says that the old passport number is to the same person who is holding the new passport with different number. And it’s solved

Maybe for the first, you must report to the police that you lost your passport, and then you go to immigration office to take the new passport again
You must explaine to them that you lost your passport n you want to get a new passport for the replacement and give them report the police as evidence.
