The best is to hear from your IO direct. The obvious is that reapplication will be obvious and you pay for it again. To defer its complicated to be honest.Its possible but you may need to reapply again with fees imposed. Seek advice from you institutions International Office, but in a nutshell, I do not encourage you to defer your studies as this will affect your visa issuances in future.

Same thing happened to me but what you’ve to do is this in your nationality firstly choose the country you reside in then after selecting the state you’re living in that country where you can visit a near by Malaysian embassy then go back to your nationality and change it to your real country.
