Assalamu alaikom, and Good day,
Im abdulatif A khiralla , may passport No( K79GLGNN), PhD student @ UTM and my visa student pass will expire in 3rd of September 2021. I would like to inform you that I already back to my country Libya to get A new passport . So , I already got the new one with the same details of my name , but different number of passport, also, the previous passport has been terminated by Libyan passports and immigration office. Therefore, I have just the new one , and I have a copy of student pass and the front page of the old passport. Also I would like to go back to Malaysia before the student pass expires in 3rd of September and I want to apply for the authorization letter.
So, my question is can I apply to EMGS to get the Authorization letter by using the new passport and travel by using the new passport , even though there is An option inside the authorization form which mentioned that the student have to enter the new passport number if the student got one.
So, please assist me

  Hi Abdulatif,
  
  You required to enter the details based on the old Travel Document Number and then enter the New Travel Document Number and upload a copy of the new Travel Document Data Page since the EMGS system is unable to detect if the student has a new Travel Document Number.

    So, after uploading a copy of the new passport data page and waiting of the approval for authorization travel. should I travel by using the new passport?

      Hello, when you traveling to malaysia please your old passport and new passport then after that please refer to institution for renewal processing

      Thank you for answering, but my old passport has already terminated by the office of Libyan immigration! , they already taken it , I just have the new one currently
