We understand your concern. However, kindly note that the quarantine costs are applicable to all individuals (foreigners and Malaysians) traveling to Malaysia from other countries. As such, you will be required to adhere to the policies for mandatory quarantine as set by the Government of Malaysia.

Existing international students are required to apply for the travel authorization. Upon issuance of the travel authorization, you need to download the letter of undertaking (LoU) and proceed to apply for the letter of approval (Entry Permit) from an accredited Malaysian Mission.

Kindly note that we are unable to advise of the duration is sufficient, as the approval to issue the travel authorization is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. Hi Abdelrahman,
Based on the current process, the Malaysian Immigration Department will only allow you to renew your student pass if your current student pass expiry has not lapsed for more than 3 months. Students will be required to enter Malaysia on a social visit pass and subsequently obtain the renewed student pass.

One more thing
If I ship my passports to Malaysia and ask my friend to submit the passport to my institution how long will take to renew my visa and transfer the pass to the new passport ( my visa renewal process on the new passport number already 50%)

Even if my old passport was cancelled and the travel authorisation letter under my old passpor.
One more thing the LOU should I right the new passport number or as written in travel authorisation letter

You are required to bring both your new and old passport since you did not transfer the Student Pass to the new passport. The approval to grant you entry is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department Officials at the point of entry.
