Dear EMGS officers,
My name is Anes and I’m an Algerian international student who applied for the student pass on the 18th of August,
My application was submitted to immigration for e-Val issuance on the 28th of August at 11 AM Malaysia time and the note said that the visa may take 7-10 working days to be issued. Unfortunately since September is the holiday season my application has encountered some delays, my flight is already booked for the 14th of September and I would be in Malaysia hopefully by the 15th at 3 PM, my question is do I have a realistic chance of getting my e-Val by that time ?
My passport number is : #########
And my application number is : #########

And is there any way you could help me speed up the process and not have it take 10 full working days ? I can’t even change my flight now the airline isn’t allowing me to!!!

  Hi Anes Haouar,
  
  Kindly be informed that your application for Visa Approval Letter (VAL) has been submitted to the Immigration Department on 28th August 2025. They will take approximately 7-10 working days to issue the approval. The approval is solely at the discretion of Immigration. We will notify once the VAL is approved by Immigration.
