I am an international applicant planning to pursue undergraduate studies in Malaysia in a non-medical field. During a recent personal health check-up, I tested positive for Hepatitis B, but with a very low HBV DNA viral load of only 290 IU/ml. I am asymptomatic and do not require any medical treatment at this time. The test report is attached for your reference. Before proceeding with my application, I would like to ask whether this medical condition would affect my student visa eligibility, considering it is not a contagious or high-risk level and I am not applying for a healthcare-related course.

Hi @shakiburislam,
Kindly be advised that the student will be required to undergo medical screenings in accordance with the requirements of the Malaysian Ministry of Education. In addition, the medical screening results shall be certified in accordance with the medical screening guidelines set by the Ministry.
Kindly note that if the student’s medical condition is deemed unsuitable for studies in Malaysia after undergoing the medical screening process, they will be required to bear the cost of leaving Malaysia. The student’s suitability to study in Malaysia will be in accordance with the requirements of the Malaysian Ministry of Education. The decision is entirely at the discretion of the Medical Examination Doctor.
Have a nice day.

When I first apply and explain my situation, will I still be granted an eVisa to travel to Malaysia for the medical test, or will my application be rejected right away?
