Dear EMGS team!
My husband is currently studying for his master’s degree in Malaysia with a student visa. Now, we would like to apply for a dependant visa for me (his wife) and our two children. How and where should we start the process? Where do we submit the application?

The main question is: can we apply for it ourselves, or is it mandatory to apply through the university where my husband is studying?

  Kindly be informed that the institution is required to apply the dependant visa application on behalf of the dependant. As such, kindly refer to the institution for further clarification regarding this matter.

    Hello Officer. Thank you for your answer, and I have a very important question. University where my husband study are asking for insurance to apply for a Dependent Visa, meaning a visa for a family member. Where and how can we get it? Is it essential to obtain it? Is it impossible to get the visa without it?
