Hi good day
My passport will be expiring next year and now am in my country Nigeria and wish to renew my passport here in Nigeria so that I can obtain 10 years passport instead of 5 years passport that is being issued to us outside the country but my challenge is that if I renew it here, they will cancel my old passport which has visa and I don’t know if I will be permitted to enter Malaysia when the old one that has visa has been cancelled? Please advise me the right way to go, thanks

  Kindly be informed that if you renew your passport at home country, you are required to enter Malaysia with a new passport. Kindly note, if your student visa is still valid during you enter to Malaysia, the institution is required to do the transfer endorsement to transfer your student visa from old passport to a new passport. As such, kindly refer to the institution for further assistance regarding this matter.
