Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Abdulsalam (Passport No. B04692426), and I am writing to inquire about the cancellation of my previous VAL and the status of my new VAL application. Currently, the application status shows that the new VAL is stuck at 5% for the past three days (“Pending approval by the institution”).

Could you please confirm whether the cancellation of the previous VAL has been completed?

Additionally, could you provide an estimated timeline for when the new VAL will be ready? The situation is urgent as I need to be in Malaysia by the end of September to complete the registration for my PhD program.

  Hi Abdulsalam,
  As checked, your VAL cancellation was rejected by Immigration on 13 August 2024. Kindly liaise with the institute (UKM) for further clarification. As per your current application, it is currently pending approval from the institution.
