Good afternoon，
I have one question, my original student visa will expire on 30th Oct 2024. And I already pay for the visa renew and process it.

I am applying for a withdrawal from Semester 1, 2024/2025 for half a year because I have an internship in China. May I know the final time of the passport submission if I want to continue the renewal procedure ? I asked the UM visa unit and they told me the final time was 30th Jan 2025 (3 months) yesterday. Is that right?

If I cannot go back to Malaysia and submit my passport. Then I have to apply for a new student visa and a new eval. This operation will influence the study record before?

  Hi Ren Zhou,
  We recommend you renew the student pass 3 months before the expiry date. Please be informed that beginning 1st April 2023, all international students with an expired student pass will not be allowed to enter Malaysia using a social visit pass and renew their student pass. The students will be required to apply for a new application and obtain a new Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) to enter Malaysia. Kindly note that the Malaysian Immigration Department may allow certain international students to renew their student pass if the current pass expiry has not lapsed for more than 3 months. The decision is entirely under the discretion of the Malaysian Immigration Department.
