Dear Immigration Officer,
My name is Lu Guangyun, a Chinese national with passport number EL5479921, a Segi University student . I am writing to inquire about the status of my student visa extension application.
I submitted my passport to the International Office of Segi University on April 4, 2024, for the processing of my student visa extension. My current student pass was expire on May 1th. To date, I have not received any updates regarding my application status.
According to the university, my passport has been forwarded to the Malaysian Immigration Department. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could provide information on the following:
The specific procedures and expected timeline for processing student visa extensions once the Immigration Department receives the passport.
Confirmation that the university has submitted my passport to the Immigration Department for the purpose of updating my student visa.

Hi,
Please be informed that this is self endorsement application. EMGS has provided the supporting letter since the 6th of March 2024.
The institution is then required to submit the passport and liaise directly with respective immigration to proceed with the renewal of the student passes.
Therefore kindly liaise directly with the respective institution for further update regarding the renewal of student pass.
