Dear EMGS, Adnan Ali Amin Ali from sudan, my visa will expire on 6 jun and my passport will expire on 13/11/2024 and now i have to give the university the documents for visa renewal. One of the requirements is “copy passport” without give them the passport, My question is should i give them a copy of my passport without extending it and when you request the passport i go to the embassy to extend it or should i do the extend now (before you request it) because the embassy will extend my passport for only 18 months. Embassy idea is if the process of the renewal will take time before you request the passport I will not benefit from the extension during the visa renewal process

  Kindly be informed the institution only allowed to apply for your renewal student visa for only 5 months or less due to your current passport validity is not sufficient to renew the student pass for one year. As such, we recommend you to renew the passport before apply for renewal of your student visa. Kindly refer to the institution for further clarification regarding this matter.
