Dear EMGS officer.
My name is Chen HanYuYang, passport number: ED8043684.
I’m now need to apply for a transfer, (change of school for a Bachelor’s program, not advancement).
However, my student visa at my current institution is approaching its expiry date and I need to apply for a special pass to support me to stay in Malaysia to wait for my student visa from the new institution.
May I know whether my SP should be applied by my current institution or the new one? How long will the process take?

I would appreciate to hear back with your earliest convenience. Thank you!

  Hi, Chen HanYuYang.
  If you want to change the institution within the duration of your study, you are required to liaise with both institutions to ensure a smooth transition. Kindly note that the special pass needs to be obtained through the new institution and there is no stipulated timeframe for the process of changing the institution.
