Hi,
Kindly be informed that we received your passport on 22 December 2023 for the Student Pass endorsement process. The endorsement process takes approximately 14 working days. However, the approval is solely at the discretion of the Immigration Department. We will notify your institution once the passport is ready for collection.

Hey wanted to ask did you get your passport back? Did it take really 14 days ? Since the passport was turned in to EMGS?
Not yet. It still stuck at 80%
Yeah I’m on the same issue I need to travel on the 30th of January I have my flight already ticket I paid it I travel on the 30th at 9 am and my visa renewal is stuck on 80% low-key worried that I might miss the flight. Any case if your passport gets our can you tell me and tell me how long it took? Just for me to know what to do and if it comes out before the 23rd since you need to fly on the 23rd. I’m honestly worried.
55%-90% If it takes more than 14 working days, should be able to make a reminder on this app. Others should just wait. I feel that the Malaysian government departments are not very punctual. I also heard that some students were 80% stuck for a month, so I left a message on this app to remind them.
Yeah I also heard that they can be ok 80% for a month but it’s like we got our tickets already at least try to help us out. For example when I turned in my passport for renewal of the visa I asked at my university I need to travel for internship which starts on the 1st of February and I can’t change the date of the internship when do you suggest me to buy a ticket for me to travel and they told me oh get the ticket for the 30th of January so I did. And now this happens I’m stuck on 80%. I’m scared that my passport might not even come ou that soon and I might lose the flight ticket which I paid a lot and also might have issues with starting the internship on the 1st of February. While the company said they only can accept me to start my internship on the 1st of February.

It says Your Student Pass Renewal application has been issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia., form 12/21 i got 50% submit my passport 12/22-55% they got my passport, to now it’s 14 working days. I got 80% at 12/29. I think i can get my passport next Monday or Tuesday
When was your passport turned in for EMGS?
Mine is still on 80% hopefully in 14 days it turns 90% too. One question did the 14 days started counting from the moment you turned your passport to EMGS or from the moment EMGS turned your passport to immigration?
14 working days counting form EMGS receive my passport. I should get my passport back next Tuesday as all my friends did. Normally the institution take passport back one working day after it show passport ready for institution to collect. And can be take back another working day later. I’ll let you know when I get mine.

Oh okay. Can you tell me what were the dates that it moved from 80 to 90 and from 90 to 100? So I know. I think you could even pick it up today your passport no? If it’s already with your university. I’m just worried cause most probably my passport might be with my institution by the 29th and I travel on the 30th at 9:30 am
