Dear EMGS,
I am an international student from India, pursuing master of counselling in Kuala Lumpur. I am writing to enquire about my rights as an international student.
I have joined this course in September 2023. While applying for the course and during interview also, I made it clear that my only interest in joining the course was because of art therapy elective offered by my present university. However, now the same elective has been removed from the option without prior intimation. Now, I don’t see any point in pursuing this course for which I took heavy education loan in my country with a hope to pursue my dream course. I seek your suggestion here, what rights do i have in this situation? Can i withdraw my name out of course n claim my first semester fees back? Please suggest me something as I feeling helpless in this situation. I hope you will guide me right.
