Hi, if all of your documents are ok, if it requires no additional documents after submitting your application to emgs, then within 14 days ( max 1 month) u should get your e-val.. but if it requires additional documents after applying, then there is no fixed time frame. It depends on so many things.
For me, it took 5 days to get the val after immigration department received my application from emgs.
Congratulations on the approval of your application. If you are from a country that requires a Single Entry Visa (SEV) to enter Malaysia you are required to proceed to the Malaysian Embassy in your home country and apply for the SEV upon receipt of the eVAL.
However, if you are from a country that does not require the SEV you can proceed to arrange for your travel to Malaysia.
Better u send an email to your university and they will give u the authentic information. I am not sure if u can enter in Malaysia this early as your registration is in Oct.
Normally, if u r a research mode student( M.sc/phd) then u can enter at any time u want. But it also varies from institution to institution. But if u are a taught course/mixed mode student then I think it is bit difficult to enter so early than your appointed registration date..
After entering in Malaysia, u will get a special pass of 30 days. It means u r legally approved to stay 30 days in Malaysia. Within this 30 days u have to complete your registration, medical check up, at the university to get student pass..
As your registration date is in Oct, so there is a possibility that your university will not allow u to do the registration this early..U might have to come back from malaysia because u won’t be able to do the registration within 30 days. Thats all I know, hope it helps.
But again I am saying, conatct your university, they will give u the correct information..if university says to come in, then come..if they say don’t come in, then don’t come this early. Its up to u.
